+ Not a terrible spoof horror (most are failures), + A fun watchBaddies:
- Average at best, but for the genre is good enoughSpoof horror in which a group of college kids do a semester abroad in Romania and realise that if the partying doesn’t kill them, the vampires just might!
When the film started, I had very low expectations – it seemed like it was going to be a flop, but as the film progressed, I got more into it. That isn’t to say the film was amazing, but it had it’s moments, and it was FUN. Full of plot, intrigue, amazing writing or acting? No, but it was fun. If it had done a bit more work, it could’ve ventured into Lesbian Vampire Killers territory, but didn’t get that far. Comedy-Horror can be difficult as spoof (although this film wasn’t spoofing anything specific per se – some hints of Nosferatu, Frankenstein, and some other classics), but the film pulled beyond a lot of the trash that is out there. Worth a watch, not worth a rewatch.
